Coasterz 'n' Canyonz Blog Day 08
Last day in OZ - we will miss you all... Today it was an hour north of Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and a visit to Aussie World. This small park oozes quality and friendliness done in only a way small parks know how. Not that there's too much competition in Australia, but this park understands customer service and knows how to please it's target audience of mainly families with young children (yes we're all small children at heart!!).
Outside the park stands the famous Ettamogah Pub - reportedly the most photographed pub in the world!
The heat today got to us both!!
From the moment you enter the park, you know this is a very special place.
Main reason for visiting was their Wild Mouse - and it didn't disappoint.
A good selection of small rides around the park - many very well themed.
So hot - Ian had to have a Cider!
And then get rid of it....
Found them.......
Finally, a week after seeing the billboard, Ian got to drink the "impossible to find" Strongbow Pear Cider. Peace at last!!!!To sum up Australia - we loved it - great people, relaxed atmosphere, great sense of humour, easy to get around. Only down side was the cost of living and the fact it's so far away. Maybe one day we'll be back................ just maybe!
This evening we fly to New Zealand. Until tomorrow......
